Two Days in a Row
I'm trying to post here more than once a week. This was shot over the weekend on Polk Street in San Francisco. Polk Street has the virtue of zero tourists, as far as I can tell, because it's not that exciting. But there are some good restaurants, which is why I was there.

Gesture
Sometimes it's just a little thing, like the way the feet are held while leaning on a building. This was taken in the Tenderloin in San Francisco.

Exposure
Not much to say, it is what it is.

Street Shot
I went to a Bastille Day dinner last night in San Francisco. There were French flags on every table, free champagne, and an accordian player with two can-can dancers. While out and about, I happened to take this shot, which seems to fit with other shots I have.

At the Carnival
This time, someone at the carnival, not working it.

Another Carny
As promised, another carny from the Fourth of July. We talked for quite a while, and then was happy to stand there and be photographed.

Yes, it's July
and I've been really delinquent in getting new posts up here. It takes time and I seem to have lost some.
Over July 4th weekend, there's a local carnival, a traveling carnival. It's tiny, with about 10 rides and 10 booths, but it's the local July 4th carnival. It used to be held in a parking lot behind the supermarket, but this year it got moved into a government agency parking lot.
I photographed any carny that would let me - many won't - and quite a few of the people walking around. I'll start with a carny working one of the booths, and hopefully post a few more this week.

I can't update the web site as much as I'd like, so this location will occasionally serve as a place to post new photos, ruminate on photography, and expose the inner workings. You can contact me at jeff_spirer at hotmail.com.
